When your family participates in the programs below, you are helping the Parents Association of Richmond Waldorf School raise money that will be used to support programs and make improvements to school grounds. This is effortless fundraising that costs you no additional money.
Kroger Community Rewards®
Kroger has one big pot of money available to assist local schools and non-profits in our region ($3.5 million per school year). Each time an enrolled member of our school shops at Kroger using the Kroger Plus card, RWS will earn money. Since we began participating in the Kroger Community Rewards program in the Fall of 2013, we’ve earned over $3800!
Signing up is easy.
To use the Kroger Community Rewards® Program, follow these steps:
- Register online at krogercommunityrewards.com
- Click “Create an Account” to enroll or “Sign In” if you’ve already created an account last year (you must re-enroll every September)
- When prompted, enter our school’s NPO number (83872) or name of organization (Richmond Waldorf School), then select Richmond Waldorf School from the list and click Enroll
- Members must swipe their registered Kroger Plus card or use the phone number that is related to their registered Kroger Plus card when shopping for each purchase to count
- Encourage your extended family to register their Kroger Plus cards to help raise money for our school!
- Register over the phone by calling Kroger Customer Service at 800-576-4377. Be sure to have your Kroger Plus card handy to register your card with Richmond Waldorf School (School Code: 83872).
Less than 10 families participated in Scrip last year yet we earned over $1300! Will you help us double (or triple!) those number this year?
How Do I Sign Up?
Go to www.shopwithscrip.com and create a new account. You will be prompted for the enrollment code once your account is approved. You will find the enrollment code on our Parents page or contact our PA Scrip Coordinator, Kim Washburn, at . Once you are enrolled, look for the PrestoPay sign-up option for easy and secure payment directly from your checking account.
How Does Scrip Work?
You simply purchase gift cards through RWS or e-gift cards online at your convenience and we will earn a percentage of the amount spent. Each card typically brings in 2-18% of the total amount.
Say you spend an average of $400 a month at Whole Foods. By using a Whole Foods gift card purchased through Scrip, our school would receive $12/month, totaling $144/year. If 25 families spent $400 a month on Whole Foods gift cards, our school would earn $3600. 50 families would raise $7200 annually!
Now just imagine if these same 50 families also bought Scrip gift cards for clothing (L.L. Bean, Land’s End, Macy’s, Kohl’s, The Gap, Target, etc.), home improvement (Home Depot, Lowe’s, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc.), gasoline (BP, Exxon, Martins, Wawa, etc.) and dining out (Panera, Starbucks, Chipotle, Einstein Bagels, and many more).
If all of our families use Scrip for their regular shopping each month, we could join the ranks of other Waldorf schools earning thousands ($10,000 – $50,000) of dollars each year. So set up your family’s account today!
How do I get the cards that I ordered?
If you order the e-card, a confirmation will be emailed to you immediately with a link to your ready-to-use card.
If you order physical cards, you can pick them up at pick up and drop off in the front office. If you are not able to make it to the school during normal business hours, please contact our Scrip Coordinator at to make alternative arrangements. Cards cannot be mailed directly to you at this time.
How long will it take to get my physical gift card?
For Scrip cards, the Scrip Coordinator will place group orders one time per week on Thursday. This means you need to place your order by Thursday morning in order to pick up on the following Wednesday.
If you have additional questions about purchasing or ordering gift cards, placing your orders online at ShopWithScrip, using PrestoPay, creating standing orders or processing time please contact the PA Scrip Coordinator, Kim Washburn, at .

Box Tops for Education
We receive $.10 for every Box Top submitted. In the past, we have earned as much as $300 for the year. There are two submission dates per year, November 1st and March 1st, so please start collecting those Box Tops and place them in the collection box downstairs. Note: If you have a lot of Box Tops to turn in and have the time, check the expiration date and consider putting them in bags of 50. This is how they must be submitted and it would be most helpful. For more info about Box Tops go to: www.boxtops4education.com
