Eric received his Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Auburn University and a Master of Teaching in Elementary Education from VCU. He has lived as an adult in Portland (OR), Savannah (GA), and the New York City area before settling down in Richmond in 2002. Eric taught 1 year of public school in Richmond more than a decade ago, but was drawn to the teaching philosophy of Waldorf Education after the first of his 3 children began attending RWS.
As Lead Aftercare Teacher, Eric helps design and oversee the after-school program at RWS, which includes an age range of 3-14 years old and can include as many as 40 students at a time. He is most influenced by the whole-child approach to Waldorf Education, and he attempts to provide that for the students in his care. Eric also enjoys playing music, camping, and being with his family.
