• Early Childhood / Kindergarten
  1. Apply: Submit your application in Blackbaud and pay a $50 non-refundable application fee. Parents will indicate preference for our 3-, or 5-day program. The priority application deadline for 2026-2027 is January 15, 2026. 
     • For children who have attended Kindergarten, parents should provide school records.
     • Kindergarten birthday cutoff: June 15, 2021
     • Admission to Early Childhood (PreK/K) is not a guarantee of admission to first grade.
  2. Visit and Interview: Following receipt of your application, the Director of Enrollment will arrange a time for the family to meet with our teachers for a meet-and-greet and conversation.
  3. Decision: Notifications for 2026-2027 will be made by February 20, 2026. If you are are applying for a mid-year opening, notifications will be made as soon as possible. 
  4. Enrollment: Offers of enrollment will be due back from parents by March 5, 2026. An acceptance letter and enrollment invitation will be sent electronically via Blackbaud. The $275 new student enrollment fee is due upon enrollment; and tuition agreements are set up for auto-schedule with various payment plan options. 

  Important Early Childhood birthdate and classroom guidelines:

  • Our 3-day Early Childhood program has two classroom schedules (Mon through Wed; Wed through Fri) and serves children ages 3 through 5. Children must be potty trained and turn 3 by September 1.
  • Our 5-day Early Childhood program meets on Mondays through Friday and serves children ages 3 ½ through 6. Children must be potty trained and turn 3 by June 15.
  • Kindergarteners should be 5 years old by June 15. Please contact admissions@richmondwaldorf.com or amazeres@richmondwaldorf.com to ask questions. 
  • 1st graders should be 6 years old by June 15. 
• Grades 1 to 8
  1. Apply:  Submit you application in Blackbaud with $50 application fee
     • The application deadline for 2026-2027 is January 31, 2026. 
     • We require a teacher recommendation form and school transcripts from your child’s current school, or provide documentation of home school curriculum.
  2. Meet the Class Teacher: When your student’s application is complete, we will schedule a time for parents and student to meet with the Class Teacher, either in person or virtually. We will get to know you and your student, share insights into joining the class community, and assess student fit.
  3. Classroom Visit/Assessment: Following meeting the Class Teacher, we will facilitate an academic assessment and arrange an in-person visit for two to three consecutive days. 
  4. Decision/Notification: Parents will be contacted by the Director of Enrollment following the visit. 
  5. Enrollment: An acceptance letter and enrollment invitation will be sent electronically via Blackbaud. The $500 enrollment fee is due upon enrollment; and tuition agreements are set up for auto-schedule with various payment plan options. 

  NOTE: When transferring from another school, class placement will depend upon the child’s age and academic, developmental, and social progress. First Grade applicants should be 6 by June 15 or transferring from a Kindergarten program.
