Sprouts—for children 18 months old to 3 years old and their parent/caregiver!
RWS’ Sprouts is currently on hold. Reach out for more information on our next scheduled session.
During the school year, we meet once per week from 9 – 11am for 6-week sessions. The cost is $300.
Sprouts class is designed for parents/caregivers and their little ones. Our goal is for the children to have a positive, nurturing first-time experience in a school setting, and for parents to have a space to talk about childrearing and learn more about the Waldorf parenting approach. Here you and your child will experience our Waldorf Early Childhood Program first hand, as the Sprouts morning is a modified version of a typical day in our Early Childhood classes. You will also be able to meet other young families and spend some time discussing topics in child growth and development, learn how Waldorf educators nurture young children and at the same time get to have a front row seat watching the children play. Parents will also participate in making something special for your child to take home at the end of our class. Participants in our program are warmly invited to attend school-wide festivals and celebrations as well as parent-education evenings and Open Houses. We encourage you to be a part of our thriving and supportive school community.
Over the course of six weeks, you may experience:
- Creative indoor and outdoor play
- Helping prepare and enjoy nutritious snacks together
- Circle time
- Educational readings/podcasts for discussion
When a session is open, you can complete our Sprouts application. You will be contacted about availability, to confirm placement, and to secure payment before the classes begin. Your enrollment will be confirmed upon receipt of the application.
