Visit Us

Thank you for your interest in Richmond Waldorf School. We would love to have you visit our school, and offer a variety of ways to learn more about our hands-on approach to learning.

Enrolling at Richmond Waldorf School begins with a visit to our school.  We enjoy sharing Waldorf Education with prospective families and welcome visitors. Parents may opt to attend an open house, group observation morning, or arrange a personal tour. Summer inquiries should submit their information to arrange a personal tour with the Enrollment Coordinator.

Personal Tours

We are happy to arrange a personal tour if you cannot attend an observation or open house, or if you have specific needs or questions that warrant an individual meeting. Personal tours can be arranged by filling out the Request for Information below. You will be contacted by Valerie Hogan, Marketing & Enrollment Coordinator, to arrange a time to meet.

Group Tour & Info Session

Prospective parents are invited to attend a Group Tour and Info Session. These events will give parents a look inside Waldorf classrooms and share how our unique educational approach builds character, creativity, and confidence in our students. Meetings include a discussion of Waldorf Education and the Admissions process, a tour of the school, and a visit into one or more classrooms.

Tours are specific to the Early Childhood program or Grades 1 through 8. These events are for parents only and RSVP is required.

The schedule for the 2019-2020 admissions season and RSVP will be available soon! Please call 804-377-8024 or email for more information.

Open Houses

Save the Date! Saturday, October 26, 2019

Open Houses are interactive opportunities where children and parents can experience our classrooms and playgrounds, meet our faculty and staff, and participate in interactive workshops.

Open Houses allow parents and their children to experience Waldorf education through interactive workshops and activities led by our faculty. Families will meet teachers, parents, and students; visit classrooms and playgrounds; view student work; and learn about how to apply. It won’t take long to see why our hands-on approach naturally engages children in the learning process.
