Classroom Observations

Walking into a Waldorf classroom, you immediately know you are in a unique learning environment. Classroom Observations allow parents to see inside a Waldorf classroom and the relationship between teacher and class. Observations are differentiated for Early Childhood or Grades, and typically 45 – 60 minutes. Meetings include a discussion of Waldorf Education and the Admissions process, a tour of the school, and a visit into one or more classrooms.

Early Childhood Classroom Observations

These parent-only observations allow you to experience the wonder and joy of Waldorf Early Childhood. Our mixed-age classes are filled with practical and artistic activities, as well as indoor and outdoor unstructured play, engaging children’s creativity and social skills. Parents will also learn how the Waldorf model progresses to elementary and middle school.

Early Childhood Observation Dates:

January 16, February 6, February 20, March 28

Grade School Classroom Observations

Visit a series of classrooms from Grades 1 to 8 to see Waldorf Education in action. Visiting multiple classes and ages allows attendees to get a sense of the full Waldorf program and how the curriculum meets the academic, artistic, and social needs for children at a range of ages. Sign up below for an observation morning.

Grade School Observation Dates:

January 15, February 12, February 28, March 14

Open Houses

Open Houses are interactive opportunities where children and parents can experience our classrooms and playgrounds, meet our faculty and staff, and participate in interactive workshops. These all-school events are held in Fall and Winter.

Open Houses allow parents and their children to experience Waldorf education through interactive workshops and activities led by our faculty. Families will meet teachers, parents, and students; visit classrooms and playgrounds; view student work; and learn about how to apply. It won’t take long to see why our hands-on approach naturally engages children in the learning process.

Personal Tours

We are happy to arrange a personal tour if you cannot attend an observation or open house, or if you have specific needs or questions that warrant an individual meeting. Personal tours can be arranged by filling out the Request for Information below. You will be contacted by Valerie Hogan, Marketing & Enrollment Coordinator, to arrange a time that works for you.
