Ribbon Cutting & Back to School Picnic

Join us as we celebrate the completion of our playground renovation with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on August 24th at 5:30 pm during the Back-to-School Picnic! This major major renovation of the playground features new KOMPAN play equipment, improvements to the school’s field for play and soccer, and a reimagined bike pump track designed to support movement, exploration, and outdoor learning for students of all ages. Shortly after the ribbon cutting there will be a student demonstration on our new Bike Pump Track. Families, faculty, staff, and members of the school community will gather to mark the occasion and welcome students back to campus for the new school year! All are welcome, including our RVA neighbors!

The playground renovation comes at a meaningful moment in our school’s history as we mark our 30th year as a school and its 9th year in our Northside campus. The project reflects our continued commitment to creating beautiful, purposeful outdoor spaces where children can build strength, confidence, imagination, and community.
