Joy Rogers
Dogwood Class Lead
Joy joined the Early Childhood (EC) program in 2025 as the lead teacher of the Dogwood Class. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Hollins University, and found her true passion to be working with children and families.
Many years of experience, including different pedagogical curriculum, and the last 7 as a lead teacher in a morning preschool, have guided her on this path to the beauty and rhythm of Waldorf. She recently completed an EC course at the Sunbridge Institute, and will be continuing her education through classes and mentorship.
When not teaching, Joy can be found with her family, which includes her husband, two middle school boys, a dog, two cats, and fish. She loves gardening, being in nature, hiking, and camping.
