Naomi Burnell

Naomi joined Richmond Waldorf School in August 2025 as assistant in the Willow class. She spent her middle and high school years in the Richmond area and received her bachelor’s degree in English Literature in 2014 from Virginia Commonwealth University. She moved to Seattle, Washington almost ten years ago where she taught in an Early Education class in a Montessori school and taught ESL for four years. She has years of experience in child care as a nanny and has worked for the last two years with a family whose child went to Richmond Waldorf School. Through her nanny position, she was able to learn more about Waldorf teaching and saw all the wonderful benefits of the education. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her family and friends. Naomi has always found a calling in Early Education and she is looking forward to learning and growing in Waldorf education.
