Eligibility Requirements:

• Candidate Students:

  Students wishing to apply for a Founders Scholarship must

  • Be entering 6th or 7th grade in good academic standing
  • Demonstrate strong academics
  • Exhibit strong social skills
  • Have an interest in the arts and music
  • Be open to new ideas and experiences
• Family Expectations:

  Waldorf education can only achieve its fullest potential with the involvement of the student’s family. Families of Founders Scholarships candidates must:

  • Demonstrate financial need via the Blackbaud Financial Aid application and resubmit their Financial Aid application yearly. 
  • Fall within 200% of the Federal poverty guidelines
  • Demonstrate an interest in participating in their child’s school life
  • Commit to attending Parent evenings Waldorf education events and performing community service

  Parents of internal RWS middle school candidates must fill out this form to apply for the 2026-2027 school year. 

• Application Process:

  New students and families wishing to apply for the RWS Founders Scholarship should take the following steps: 

  • Attend an Admissions event
  • Submit admissions application
  • Provide a teacher recommendation, school transcripts, and submit a financial aid application to verify income
  • Contact the Director of Enrollment & Development to inquire about eligibility

  Following receipt of the application documents for new students, you will be contacted to:

  • Confirm eligibility for Scholarship
  • Arrange for the Student to visit in classroom and continue with the application process
  • Meet with the Class Teacher to reflect on the visit and answer parent questions
