Olga Plotnikov
Olga received a Master’s degree in Cryogenic Physics from Moscow Power Engineering Institute in 1985. In the Soviet Union, she worked in the space sector on researching the heat exchange of rocket fuel. After taking a break to raise her three children, she went back to school to earn a Master’s in Education from the College of Saint Rose. She then taught middle and high school technology classes in upstate New York. More recently, she has been teaching math and physics in public schools around the Richmond area and at Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School for Government and International Studies.
 
Olga is excited to join the Richmond Waldorf School community as Math Support Specialist in the fall of 2026.

When she is not teaching, Olga enjoys exploring the city of Richmond with her husband and her children, crocheting, and sewing.
